Novar Fishings - Beat 6Beat 6 starts below the New Bridge on the B9176 Evanton to Bonar Bridge road, and runs down to the boundary of the angling club water next to the golf course. Much of the beat runs through more sandstone and conglomerates with the river creating sections of gorge and pots.
DamThe lower half of the beat starts with Chamberlain's, followed by Bracken Bank, then Miller’s one of the first main holding pools for fresh run fish from the firth, and one of the most productive in any height of water. Below Miller's the gradient increases again in a series of small pools and cascades including Treble Rocks before the next main pool, Pool na Poach (Distillery pool) and the Pot below that. Both of these pools can produce fish in all heights of water.
